Thai Pad Kra Pao Recipe:
You'll need:
1 pot Thai Kra Pao paste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp soy sauce (20g)
2 tbsp oyster sauce (20g)
200-250g minced or sliced chicken/pork/tofu
100g green beans - chopped
1 red onion (100g) - thinly sliced
1 bunch basil (Thai or Italian) - roughly chopped - the more basil you have the tastier this dish will be!
Steps
1. In a wok, heat 1 tbsp oil. Melt and fry the Kra Pao paste for 2 minutes on low heat until sizzling.
2. Add the chicken/pork and cook for another 2 minutes on medium-high heat until the meat is done.
3. Add the green beans and cook for 1 min.
4. Add the onion and cook for 2 more minutes.
5. Add the soy sauce and oyster sauce, cook for 30 sec and turn off the heat.
6. Finally, stir in the basil and serve with rice and a crispy fried egg.
Note: All the salt in this dish comes from the soy and oyster sauces, so adjust according to taste and health. You can also use a combination of light and dark soy sauces.
