Is dry ice safe and how do i dispose of it?

Dry ice is safe but needs to be handled with CAUTION. Your delivery will be kept frozen with dry ice (solid carbon dioxide that looks like normal water ice) at -78 C. It can cause frostbite to touch and suffocation if placed in a closed, unventilated space. When you open the parcel, the dry ice may already have evaporated (sublimated). If it has not and you see some solid dry ice present, handle the plastic bag with gloves or pick it by the edge of the bag (don't grab the part with solid ice) and place in a well-ventilated area. If you don't plan to open the parcel immediately on receipt or plan to transport it to another location before you open it, then make sure it is moved or stored in a well-ventilated area.

How do i recycle the packaging?

  • Outer Cardboard Box: Widely recycled.
  • Denim Insulation: This is made from upcycled waste from the denim industry. Materials that would otherwise have ended up in the bin. You can either post it back to us to use again (we will credit you for postage costs), or get creative and use it around the house. Here are some ideas - insulation, mulch for flowerbeds or even acoustic panels!
  • Ice Kitchen Cardboard Boxes: Widely recycled.
  • Plastic Pots: Widely recycled. BONUS: Our pots are made from 100% RECYCLED MATERIAL.
  • Plastic Film Lids: Recycle with carrier bags at supermarkets. Do not recycle at home.

Can i re-schedule my home delivery?

If you choose to reschedule your National Home Delivery, you will not be entitled to a refund or to have your parcel re-sent to you. As our national parcels are sent in dry ice, this will not keep frozen for more than 24 hours from leaving distribution.
